BLACK LIQUID

Known for his high octane energetic sets, Black Liquid is an Independent hip-hop artist revered as the hardest working emcee out of Richmond VA. Black’s music can be summed up in two words: Unfiltered. Observation. His obstinate attitude and sharp public commentary challenges perception and opinion through a conversational approach. His poignant flow is relentless, barraging the listener with anecdotes that highlight the MC’s natural inclination for hip-hop as an art form. He is also a promoter, teacher, DJ and radio show host of 2 radio shows in his home city, where he is also the Hip-Hop Programming Director. His two radio shows & independent event series Face Melt Friday and BYOB: Beat Battle give artists what he gives himself: exposure & opportunities; while in the classroom he works to empower the youth through expression, performance, and Hip-Hop. Serving as the headliner for the Broken Brain Tour, Black looks forward to sharing his most recent releases and more on stages nationwide.

ASON INTRIGUE & OMEGA RIFT as SXFXG

Ason Intrigue is a producer/DJ based out of Hampton, VA signed to Columbus, OH/San Diego, CA based record label Definition Music. Inspired by groups like Death Grips and Venetian Snares, Ason will be providing the soundscape for The Broken Brain Tour; from DJing sets for headliner Black Liquid, to contributing a set of his own in conjunction with Virginia Beach emcee Omega Rift. Though young, Omega Rift has built a strong online catalog and following. The two will be debuting material from their upcoming joint project. Ason is also well-known for his work as a music video producer/filmmaker working with notable artists, including RJD2, Blueprin‍‍‍t, Chris Orrick (fka Red Pill), Ill Poetic, Illogic, J-Rawls, KRS-ONE and more. As a music producer he as scored roughly 5 films and collaborated with artists and producers across the world on music video projects. After a long hiatus of live performance, Ason will be returning to the stage with a plethora of exciting new material.

SECOND WOMB

Second Womb is a Duo hailing from southern New Jersey. Formed in late 2012 following a chance meeting at the legendary Sigma Sound Studios in Philadelphia. After a brief introduction and realizing their similar interests, Emcee DookieBrownFlow and Producer/Vocalist Father Earth, quickly got to work. The Womb embarked on a journey in 2015 beginning their "Live from the Cave" Ep series. Earth and Dookie released 1 Ep per month for a year straight, while touring the country at the same time. All music is original and unique in style. The duo took a break with the Ep releases in 2016 to promote the 12 projects from the year prior, as well as starting a youtube series titl‍‍‍ed "the womb in ya room"! Skits and vlog style videos capturing the duo in there natural habitats and in unfamiliar ones. In 2017, The Live from the Cave series resurfaced.Rounding out the core acts on board for the Broken Brain Tour, Second Womb is sure to add an eclectic flavor to the showcase. The duo has never tied themselves down by trying to fit a mold or by confining their sound to current trends or any sort of genre-specific rules or expectations. Their music conveys an overall message of self-elightenment, oneness and well-being, sometimes conveyed through satirist views of the idiosyncrasies of modern culture and other times through pure, passionate expressions of their observations of this reality.

HUNTORPREY

You may recognize Ohio artist HuntorPrey from his 2013 debut, “The Motion Sound Picture”, a breakthrough project filled with‍‍‍ cinematic stories of blue collar living inspired by his time living in Cincinnati as well as native Toledo, Ohio. Since the release, not only has Hunter carved a name for himself in the midwest live performance and slam poetry circuits, he’s become an inspiring and necessary voice and activist in his local community; from assisting in support to the Flint Water Crisis to speaking at local social protests.. In 2017, HuntorPrey returned to his craft with the release of the riveting “Running Man” EP, produced entirely by Ill Poetic, via Definition Music. His newest LP, “Hy-Def, is slated for a summer 2018 release.

RAISED X WOLVES

Ala Captain Planet… Raised by Wolves (RxW) is a hip-hop supergroup that calls Cincinnati, Ohio their home and the musical landscape their battleground, merging their talents together to provide all those in listening range with the dopest shit possible. Comprised of Cincinnati, Ohio natives, Sharp.One & Travis Touchdown, the duo felt a group aesthetic could amplify the intensity of their individual efforts while procuring a respectable fan base which longs for quality music and voraciously delivered content. In other words: NEXT LEVEL SHIT. Sharp.One’s slick rhyming patterns and intellectual bend balances and employs the rebellious antics of RxW’s most colorful member, Travis Touchdown, whose no nonsense delivery easily captivates listeners and commands the attention of everyone fortunate enough to experience him. Simply put, if you don’t understand what Raised by Wolves (RxW) is here to accomplish, then you need some new headphones, a flyer girlfriend, and better musical taste. RxW is the (Insert expletive here) squad!

DEVIN BURGESS

Despite being in his early 20s, Burgess (who cut his teeth in Dayton, Ohio, but now calls Cincinnati home) is technically a music veteran, diving into Hip Hop in his early teens and releasing his debut at 18. By building a solid groundwork that drew influence from Hip Hop artists who blazed their own paths instead of following trends, Burgess has moved well past his earliest releases by regularly challenging himself, learning and exploring. A chronic collaborator, the prolific Burgess issued a handful of full-length recording projects last year alone, including his second instrumental album, Solstice, which is like a snapshot of his experimental spirit, as well as his most recent release Celestialove, alongside Songtress Xela. Steadily dropping musical gems since 2012, Devin Burgess is quickly becoming one of the most watched emcees in the city. From his debut mix‍‍‍tape up to now Devin has consistently honed in on his fluid and spacey vibe that you can’t help but nod your head to.

‍‍‍‍‍‍Txger Vppercvt is 30 year old Bobby Baker whom is currently residing in Columbus but is from Akron, Ohio. He takes pride in the lack of stage presence of a laptop or a computer being the focal point of his production and embraces ev‍‍‍er crackle hiss and warped sound of vinyl and cassette. Armed with a mpc and sp 404 he provides soothing sounds mixing jazz and soul into a tasty lofi treat.
